​WSA raises funds for charitable and educational purposes through donations, the WSA Thrift Store, and fundraising activities. These fundraising activities are conducted through the work of WSA members who volunteer their time. Charitable recipients include the Whiteman AFB community, the surrounding communities, and at an Air Force level for such organizations as, but not limited to, Air Force Assistance Fund and Fisher House.

For teachers, classroom grants can be used for various projects and materials, including but not limited to books, software, calculators, math manipulatives, art supplies, audio-visual equipment, and lab materials.
